Chaos reigns!

Running is going well these days. (Knock on wood.) My miles are finally up where I want them and I can make it through a 5 mile run and still feel up to going out for breakfast afterwards. ;-) The weather has been somewhat cooperative, with treadmill and indoor track available when it doesn't. I have a new pair of running shoes. All's right with the world!

Until you come into the kitchen. ::sigh:: Clutter is piling up and is starting to infringe upon the limited counter space. The pantry is jumbled, the freezer resembles a snow globe, with a lovely coating of white over everything inside and the refrigerator is downright scary! The time has come to impose a little order upon the chaos and here's where I'm going to start. In a valiant attempt to use up and pantry and freezer-full of forgotten food, I'm going to begin planning weekly menus using said food. Hopefully I can clear out some space, makes tasty, healthy meals and save some money at the same time! And in order to motivate me to post here more often, I'll post my weekly menu every Monday and then through the week I can blog about the results.

Monday -- Wrestling ran late! Everyone is on their own! LOL!

Tuesday -- Swiss Chard and Mushroom Squares from Kalyn's Kitchen
Cinnamon Apples
French Toast Sticks and Maple Syrup
Center Cut Bacon

Wednesday -- Quick Weeknight Spaghetti from Picky Palate
Garlic Ciabatta Bread

Thursday -- Heart-shaped Pizza
Caesar Salad
Lemon Supreme Pie

Friday -- BIL's Birthday Dinner

Saturday -- Monterrey Tortilla Casserole
Leftover Blackbean Soup with Pumpkin, Lime and Chipotles from Enlightened Cooking

What kind of shoes?

I got another pair of Mizuno Wave Elixir 2's. I tried the Mizuno Wave Creation, which I've been running in for the past 200 or so miles. They are okay but nothing special. More cushion but seem much heavier. I tried a pair of Adidas Super Nova (I think?), another neutral cushion shoe but it didn't have enough support apparently because if I'd wear them, even just around the house, my arches would be sore the rest of the day. With dh battling plantar fasciitis for the past 6 months I wasn't about to go there. I've tried Saucony and a couple of models of Asics but wasn't happy with them. This is probably my 4th or 5th pair of Elixir's. I just can't seem to find anything I like better but unfortunately the original Elixir's were the best. The Elixir 2's are okay but not as good. And now they have gone to the Elixir 3's and I'm afraid I'll like them even less. LOL! I've already bought all the original Elixir's I could find online. Now I'm gonna have to buy up all the Elixer 2's!
