Pepperoni Pockets

Quick. Easy. Delicious. Plus I usually have all the ingredients on-hand to make these whenever I want. :-) This recipe for Pepperoni Pockets came from an unusual source; our local TV station. Recently they added a feature where viewers can send in their recipes and the morning news crew will make them on air. We had the TV on while the kids were getting ready for school and this one caught my eye. I knew ds would love them because he's crazy for pizza. How could they not be a hit? Warm, soft crescent roll, spicy pepperoni and gooey cheese. Mmmmm. Add in some delicious marinara and you've got a great appetizer or snack. Definitely a kid (and husband) pleaser!

Pepperoni Pockets

Recipe courtesy of WTWO television station

1 can of crescent rolls
1 package of pepperoni
2 sticks of mozzarella string cheese

2 tbs. of butter or margarine
Italian Seasoning
Garlic Powder

Put crescent roll dough out flat on baking sheet. Place 6 (or more) pepperonis on each triangle of dough. Quarter each stick of string cheese so that you have 8 small pieces. Put one piece of cheese on top of the pepperoni in each triangle of dough. Sprinkle Italian Seasoning on top of pieces of dough. Roll dough to form crescents.

Bake at 375 for 11 to 14 minutes.

While crescents bake, melt butter or margarine in the microwave. Add a couple dashes of Garlic Powder to the butter. Once crescents are baked, brush with melted garlic butter.

Garnish with marinara sauce.
